Rocky Mountain National Park
Discover one of our country’s greatest treasures — Rocky Mountain National Park. The Park was opened in 1915, with a focus on Rocky’s scenic and natural wonders. The Park is located just minutes from the town of Grand Lake, making it a perfect day time visit while staying at the Rapids Lodge. Despite the fact that Trail Ridge Road traversing the Continental Divide to Estes Park is closed in the winter, guests can still drive 8 miles into the park to enjoy winter trails and wildlife viewing.

This National Forest encompasses land straddling the Continental Divide from Colorado to Wyoming. The area is accessible by snowmobile, with miles of groomed snowmobile trails offering access to powder, meadows and incredible views. Snowmobiles can be rented and ridden in town.
