Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park is now open. However weather in these early weeks of June can be very unpredictable so always check with cotrip.org to make sure the road is passable. The odd snow storm up high or freezing melt water can cause adverse road conditions resulting in a temporary closure. The trip is well worthwhile and offers breathtaking views over snowy peaks and down into green valleys teeming with elk.
